Potential risk in forwarding emails?

I hypothesize a case:

If I enabled forwarding of my mailbox to add@me.bot and set my mailbox in the import settings, a user who enters my email address might be able to receive the same emails as me on Me.Bot!?

Because, if this were the case, it would be a security problem without a system that prevents unauthorized receipt of the same.
